To order a hood, you’ll need three simple measurements:
Width: If the hood will be placed between your kitchen cabinets, simply measure the distance between them.
Height: Decide on the height of the hood that works best for your kitchen.
Depth: Choose the depth based on the hood insert model you plan to install inside.

Note on Hood Measurements:
“If your opening space is 36”, keep in mind that your hood will measure 36” including the trim. You can also choose a model without trim.”
How to Choose the Right Hood Height:
• Distance from stovetop to hood:
• Electric stoves: 24–30 inches.
• Gas stoves: 30–36 inches.
• Hood height recommendations:
• For 8-ft ceilings: 30–36”.
• For 9+ ft ceilings: choose a model with an extension option.
Proper installation ensures effective ventilation and a comfortable cooking experience. Feel free to ask for recommendations!
Tip: An under-cabinet hood is generally not designed to accept a hood insert and is instead typically a complete ventilation system. While an under-cabinet hood can be converted to a built-in or insert-style setup with modifications to the cabinetry, it's not a standard or intended use.
